Collecting Earth's Most Important Data

Spexigon was founded on a simple premise: If we can see the Earth & the structures on it more clearly, we can make better decisions, reduce our impact, & better manage the Earth's resources.

OUR TEAM AND CULTURE

Spexigon was created to fulfil our founder and CEO’s original vision: to image the Earth at scale so we can all make better decisions.

Beginning with our first product, Spexi Geo, in 2017, we enabled organizations to collect drone imagery using their own drones and pilots.

Now, with Spexigon, it is our aim to democratize geospatial data and make high resolution aerial imagery available to everyone around the world.

Build with Spexigon

Are you a developer with existеing apps that could use our imagery? Want to build something new on Spexigon?
let’s talk

Faq

What is the Data Used For?

Some example use cases include:

  • Insurance underwriting
  • Construction project management
  • Residential real estate imagery
  • Infrastructure and building inspections
  • Wildfire prevention (forestry imaging + computer vision and A.I)
  • Natural resource management
  • Building inspections
  • City management and planning

And the list goes on… At the end of the day, the high resolution imagery pilots collect with drones will be used by data buyers to make better decisions about real world physical assets. With better, more frequently refreshed data, people and organizations will be able to save time and money and reduce their impact on the environment (less need to drive to a job site for example if you can simply view the site online and inspect it remotely.)

What is a Spexigon and how do they work?

Our plan is to open up areas for test flights starting in Spring of 2023. After a brief testing phase, we’ll begin opening up areas for regular missions.

The exact region by region roll out plan is still being developed by our team. Once it’s been finalized we’ll post updates in our Discord server, Telegram and on our socials.

What does Spexi do with the data pilots collect?

We’re standardizing on the Mavic Mini 2 to begin with. The Mini is the most popular drone in the world and is small, lightweight and easy to fly. We’ll soon support the Mavic Mini 3. In the future we may add more drone models and brands

How do you ensure data is captured safely?

All pilots will be required to take our basic safety training before flying.

Even though our app will control your drone, you still need to be able to fly safely and take control over your drone should anything enter the air space while your drone is on its mission.

How do you ensure people’s privacy is protected?

That depends on you! And it depends on the current value of the $SPEXI token. Spexigons in high value areas (typically cities and towns and areas with important infrastructure) will need to be flown repeatedly over time.

This means you can earn $SPEXI tokens on an ongoing basis in most areas as long as you’re able to get out and fly regularly.

You can also earn $SPEXI by taking our introductory training, by referring your friends and getting them to fly, and by referring data buyers.
