Senior Frontend Developer
Overview
Spexi Geospatial is a startup using drone technology to make geospatial data more accessible than ever before. Our cloud-based platform provides organizations a streamlined end-to-end solution that automates drone flights, photogrammetric data processing, and geospatial data analysis. We’re empowering new industries and unlocking the power of drone technology to help deliver aerial intelligence at scale.
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Frontend Developer to join our growing development team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for software development and be willing to take ownership as part of a small, high-caliber team of motivated engineers.
Responsibities
- Develop amazing customer-focused software using the latest tools and technologies
- Work across our tech stack from client web apps to API
- Build and improve user interface components to delight customers
- Maintain high quality, well-documented, and reliable code using industry best practices
- Research, implement and share emerging technologies and practices with the team
- Collaborate with the team on ways to improve our customer experience
What you bring
- BSc. in Computer Science, equivalent degree, or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of software engineering experience
- Proficiency in modern JavaScript and the related ecosystem of tools and frameworks
- Experience with production-grade web development at scale
- Experience with modern JavaScript applications (React with Redux)
- Understanding of REST APIs and API-driven platform architecture
- Familiarity with cloud services such as AWS and Google Cloud Platform
- Experience with JIRA, BitBucket, Git
- Experience working in an agile environment
- A thirst for learning and challenging yourself
Bonus points
- Experience with mapping, GIS, or photogrammetry
- Experience with blockchain architecture and smart contracts
