As soon as our app launches in Spring of 2023, early users will be able to earn points for a variety of objectives. Later on, once our token launches, your points will be converted into tokens that will have a value established on the open market. Here are the ways you can earn:
More to follow! Stay up-to-date on all things Spexigon in our Community
Our plan is to open up areas for test flights starting in Spring of 2023. After a brief testing phase, we’ll begin opening up areas for regular missions.
The exact region by region roll out plan is still being developed by our team. Once it’s been finalized we’ll post updates in our Discord server, Telegram and on our socials.
We’re standardizing on the Mavic Mini 2 to begin with. The Mini is the most popular drone in the world and is small, lightweight and easy to fly. We’ll soon support the Mavic Mini 3. In the future we may add more drone models and brands
All pilots will be required to take our basic safety training before flying.
Even though our app will control your drone, you still need to be able to fly safely and take control over your drone should anything enter the air space while your drone is on its mission.
That depends on you! And it depends on the current value of the $SPEXI token. Spexigons in high value areas (typically cities and towns and areas with important infrastructure) will need to be flown repeatedly over time.
This means you can earn $SPEXI tokens on an ongoing basis in most areas as long as you’re able to get out and fly regularly.
You can also earn $SPEXI by taking our introductory training, by referring your friends and getting them to fly, and by referring data buyers.
As a pilot, your job will be to supervise your drone while the Spexigon mobile app takes over control of each flight.
This ensures images are captured in safe, standardized way, at the correct altitude and location. However, as the Pilot In Command (PIC), you will have the ability to override the Spexigon mobile app at any time to regain full control.
This is a standard safety feature and returns the drone to normal manual flight mode. Even though the system pilots your drone, you still need to keep your drone within your visual line of site in order to make sure it’s flying safely.
Each country has its own rules and regulations to follow. As part of the process, our training will familiarize pilots with the rules in the areas they fly in, so they can be compliant and safe.
